¡Hola! My name is Milena and I’m a children’s book illustrator from Bogotá, Colombia. I’ve been creating digital art and traditional watercolor for seven years. One of the reasons I enjoy what I do is because through art, I can help people see the world from other perspectives. I love learning languages, exercising, and taking walks in nature. My favorite foods are recipes with fruit, especially lulo fruit (which is native to Colombia), oranges, and yellow passion fruit. I have five dogs and four cats (Lulu, Huella, Moca, Maiki, Candy, Fiby, Mia, Lupe, and Juanita).
This cheerful piece depicts the illustrator’s hometown of Chía, Colombia, which is known as a biker’s city.
