Streamlining Rostering and Onboarding: How Flashlight360 Empowers Administrators

Flashlight360 is taking significant steps to improve the way administrators manage student rosters and classes. Through innovative new features, we’re enabling a faster, more enjoyable, and highly customized experience for administrators, teachers, and students alike. By providing school and district admins the ability to create and manage classes and adjust rosters throughout the year, Flashlight360 removes frustrations caused by mismatched or incomplete data and helps make the onboarding and rostering process smoother and more efficient.

Accessibility for Administrators Leads to Success for Students

Flashlight360 allows administrators to manage their rosters with full flexibility. Even when roster data synced via services like Clever or ClassLink doesn’t match the true classroom setup, school administrators can now create custom classes, add or remove students, and assign secondary teachers—all within the Flashlight360 platform. By empowering admins with this level of control, school data will be more relevant and accurate. Teachers and admins alike will have immediate access to the data that matters most, and the seamless integration of other educators into the class will break down silos, leading to a better, more collaborative learning environment.

How it Works

The new Class Management features in Flashlight360 give admins the tools to customize their teachers’ classes with minimal effort.

Admin – Create a Class

  • Admins can navigate to a new Classes tab in their navigation bar to start the “Add/Edit Class” flow.
  • If an admin is assigned to one school, it will be pre-selected in the School field. Admins assigned to multiple schools will choose which school the class will belong to.
  • Admins can select a Primary Teacher and also add Secondary Teacher(s) as needed.

Admin – Add Students to Class

  • Admins can search for students by name or student ID from within the school.
  • The student list will populate based on previously-shared rostering data.
  • Admins can multi-select students to add them to the class, ensuring flexibility and ease of management.
  • Clean and clear organization of classes across the school or district easily allow administrators to manage changes and additions to their teachers’ classes throughout the school year.
 Striving for Excellence

With these new features, Flashlight360 is making it easier for school and district administrators to manage their classes and rosters, while reducing the frustration that comes with limited control over roster data. By empowering educators and administrators to customize the process, Flashlight360 is not only improving the user experience but also increasing the efficiency of the entire onboarding and rostering process. This change is a significant step forward in making education management more intuitive, flexible, and effective for all involved.
