Our diverse team, spanning across the United States, brings together varied backgrounds and cultural experiences. We pride ourselves on being a multilingual organization, proficient in over a dozen languages. Our team members, including former teachers, language specialists, academic coaches, consultants, and administrators, bring a wealth of knowledge, contributing a combined total of over 200 years of education experience.
In addition to working hard, we believe in playing hard. Our team sports a diverse list of unique skills and abilities, such as album releases, world-ranked Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and expert video gaming. These passions enrich our personal lives and contribute to the creativity and energy we bring to work.

What We Do
Since its inception, Flashlight Learning has been at the forefront of enhancing language development for multilingual learners. Our journey has been marked by innovation and dedication, as we have empowered educators and supported the language growth of thousands of students across the United States. Our software captures essential data, enabling teachers to provide enhanced feedback that accelerates language development. We believe in empowering students to succeed and thrive, both in the classroom and beyond.
Founded in 2021 by Justin Hewett, a seasoned professional in the education software industry, Emma Sanchez, recently retired multilingual director, and Zulema Reynosa, PhD in Education for Social Justice, Flashlight Learning was created to serve K–12 schools across the United States.
